History - Joined RN in 1955 for National Service. Entered Collingwood in September and did basic training then joined 'Killicks' course for RADAR training. In March '56 sent to Chatham for draft. Served on HMS Obdurate then HMS Chieftain. Discharged 1957 and put on RN Special Reserve until 1961.

History - Joined RN in Feb '63 at St. Vincent and completed electrical training in Collingwood in '64.
Joined Tiger 64 -65 then Triumph (Far East) 65 - 67.
​On return drafted to Cochrane 67 and joined Collingwood (LREM's course} 68. Joined Hermes 69 - 70 and on to Phoebe to 72. AFNorth for 2 years then Collingwood for POREL's course. Glamorgan 74 - 75 and Portland FMG Joined Collingwood 76 for Mechs course. On completion drafted to Apollo 79 - 82. Inskip for 1 year then Alacrity and Arrow.
In civvy street joined security company and fitted/maintained systems around barracks, embassies, power stations and 'by appointment' places.
Retired 2006.
